Hello Burkies! Raindrops falling on your heads? They aren't falling up here at Burke. (Well... maybe a few, but we don't let that stop the fun!) There's a lot going on in spite of our slightly soggy conditions and we want you to know all about them. So here we go, a little blog about bikes, burgers and beer.
Up here in the Northeast Kingdom, we don't let a little rain spoil our mountain biking fun. All of the Burke Bike Park trails are open and the majority of Kingdom Trails' are open and ready for your biking fun this weekend. Many of you have been inquiring about the status of Knightslayer; it is my pleasure to inform you that the amazing crew at Kingdom Trails has been working 'round the clock to get all of the trails up and running in amazing shape. Knightslayer will re-open this Friday, July 12th 2013!
After all the biking that you'll be able to get in this weekend, you'll probably be hungry. Why not take a trip to the Tamarack Grill? The wonderful staff at the “Tam” has plenty of delicious farm to table options for you to choose from and now offer specials all weekend. Come in on Thursdays from 4-6pm with a friend and enjoy 2 for 1 burgers before settling in with a local brew to compete in our weekly Trivia Night (every Thursday 6-8pm). Friday nights at the Tamarack are soon going to be hosting our f-RIDE-ay Night Race Series. Stay tuned on Facebook and our website for more details. And of course, every Sunday the Tamarack hosts their authentic Mexican Night, complete with margarita and sangria specials.
With all these things going on at Burke Mountain, don't forget to mark your calendars for the 5th Annual Bike n' Brew fest on August 3rd! Join us for a variety of brews, a delicious BBQ, live music and much, much more! We hope to see you there!
