Thanks for reading the first edition of my new Burke Blog! I’ll be bringing you the insider info on everything Burke-news about special events, the Tamarack Grill, a little bit more about our fantastic employees, the people who make it all happen, our community; so that I hope you’ll get to know us a little better each time you read. As most of you may well know by now, there is a lot going on up here in our unique part of the Northeast Kingdom.
If you haven’t already heard by now, we are in the midst of installing a brand new high speed quad to the summit- which, for me, means more of that True Vermont Skiing and Riding- the reason we love
this place so much-and more runs for me at lunch time! By the end of the season, our legs will be just as strong as the Academy students who train here all season long! Well, maybe not that strong, but you get the gist of my excitement.
We’re also excited to bring you a new and improved website, which your looking at right now, or you
wouldn’t be reading my new blog- take some time to browse through our new pages, we think you’ll like it. We’ve also added a few Real Estate pages, which Tim will be bringing you updates on a few times a month here on this Blog.
All is not quiet here on the mountain, and we’re ending the summer/fall season with a bang with a few exciting events in the works for the end of October. We’re not open for skiing and riding yet, but we hope you join us for the 2nd Annual CircumBurke Mountain Bike Challenge & Harvest Festival, or at the 7th Annual Ride the Rhythms Kingdom Trails Fundraiser, or find that perfect Halloween Costume for a chance to win a 2011/12 season pass at our Annual Halloween Bash to benefit the local Lyndon Food Shelf.
We’re anticipating a great season here at Burke, and keep checking back-there’s a lot of things
to talk about until then!
