On the Road Again.
We got a little taste of Halloween snow last weekend, which we usually do, but for me it means that it's almost time to pack up the Burke Subaru and head south. After weeks of planning new mountain materials for the winter, hot off the press, everything is now arriving at my office. I can still smell the fresh ink on our new trail maps. Next week, will be the start of our annual Burke Mountain Tour, starting out in Boston. Loaded with trail maps, brochures, stickers, and other swag, we’ll start the week at the Boston Ski and Sport Club Blizzard, a season kick off party, with all our new stuff, and lots of great deals! No need to be a member to come to the party, so check out all the details here.
Next it will be on to the Boston Ski & Snowboard Expo for four days of spreading the word about our wonderful home we call Burke Mountain. We’ve got some great news to share with people this year, so I am super psyched. If you are in the area, it’s a great way to pass the day, get some great deals on gear and equipment and visit us at the Burke Booth-we may even have some good ticket deals too!
For our Connecticut fans, we’ll also be stopping by the CT Winter FunFest November 19 & 20, and we hope you’ll come pay us a visit!
There’s plenty of excitement happening here at the mountain next week, and even though we’ll be on the road, we’ve got plenty of technology to still keep you informed. The towers for the Mid Burke Express are slated to be flown up the mountain November 8-9-10, depending on conditions, so if you hear a chopper in the air, you’ll know its headed for Burke. We’ll be keeping you updated with photos and video, so be sure to check out our Facebook page, Flikr, or YouTube.
And PS…Snowmaking is scheduled to start November 15, send us your cold weather wishes!
