Established in 1994, the Kingdom Trails Association offers recreational trails for the outdoor enthusiast. East Burke, where Kingdom Trails is based, is “… home to the best mountain biking in the United States,” according to Dirtrag Magazine.

Catamount Arts was founded in 1975 with a mission of enhancing the cultural climate of northern Vermont and New Hampshire.  
Catamount Arts presents an extensive series of performances at venues throughout Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom bringing in nationally known touring artists as well as accomplished local performers. The Catamount Art Center is located at 115 Eastern Ave. in St. Johnsbury and is open from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Monday – Saturday. In addition, the galleries are available to visitors before and after the nightly film screenings.
 
The most highly acclaimed ski academy in the country, Burke Mountain Academy is the 2007 recipient of the USSA’s prestigious Alpine Ski Club of the Year award. Since its founding in 1969, BMA has produced over 40 Olympic athletes, while encouraging academic and athletic excellence for today and leadership for tomorrow through passion, character and values.

Kingdom Kids is a not-for-profit association helping youngsters from the Northeast Kingdom participate in outdoor sports like skiing and mountain biking.

Set atop Vail Hill, in Lyndon, VT, Lyndon State College is accredited by the New England Association of Schools & Colleges and offers associates, bachelors and masters degrees. LSC has 12 varsity athletic programs competing in Division III of the NCAA. LSC’s Channel 7 News was awarded the Nation’s Best College Newscast for 2004 by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation.

The Burke Area Chamber of Commerce is an active network of local business owners and professionals. 

The Northeast Kingdom’s largest and fully staffed chamber handling travel promotion, community/economic development, relocation opportunities and promotion of regional events. Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom is a wonderful place to visit year-round. Whether you ski down our hills in the winter or dip your toes in our lakes in the summer, Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom is the place to be any time of the year.
