Sep. 9 — 11, 2019
In Search of Memphre.
This event has expanded to include two four-swimmer “expeditions,” one in July and one in September. We also offer four three-day windows in July and August for solo, individually escorted swims.
All swimmers must have significant open water swimming experience and be deemed qualified by our vetting committee. At a minimum, sometime prior to The Search, they should have completed a 15 to 20 mile swim and at least three hours of night swimming.
Swimmers will also be reviewed for good spirit and commitment to their community. They should be committed not only to completion of this swim, but also to the support of their fellow swimmers, to the search for our elusive and beloved lake creature Memphre, to serve as ambassadors of peace in the promotion of a more open border, and to the support of charitable work.
