THE BURKE MOUNTAIN CAMPGROUND IS OPEN FOR THE SEASON STARTING MAY 17TH, 2024.
Located between the Sherburne Base Lodge and Mid Burke Lodge, the Burke Campground offers 25 sites, including 5 lean-to's. The Campground provides easy access to the Burke Mountain Bike Park and Kingdom Trails and is the perfect starting point for hiking in the surrounding Darling and Victory State Forest.

- All prices are per night for up to 4 people.
- Two Vehicle maximum per site
- Additional campers: $5.00 per extra person per night.
- No power or water hookups.
- Reservations include use of the Burke Hotel Pool and Hot Tub, showers required.
- Free WIFI is available in the Burke Hotel.
- Sugar Shack will be open this year with our campground attendants available to assist from 8am-Dusk (Weekend's); Midweek 2pm-Dusk.
- Firewood is available to purchase on site.
RV Parking is not allowed anywhere on the Burke Mountain campus - please visit www.nekchamber.com for RV sites in the Northeast Kingdom. Self contained trailers, MAX 17' are accepted on larger sites as noted on the campground map.
Reservation Policy:
Reservations will be charged to the credit card on file the day of check in.
Cancellation Policy:
Must cancel 48 hours in advance to avoid full charge on campsites. All reservations are subject to a $10.00 cancellation fee. No-shows will be charged in full. No refunds will be given for shortening a stay after check-in.
Check-In:
All guests must check in at the Sugar Shack between 4pm - 8pm. For your safety and that of the other campers please keep food and food waste secure as not to attract animals. If attendants are not available please check the campground reservation board to confirm your site upon arrival and set up.
We ask that all guests please set up in the exact site they have reserved and do not spread out onto additional sites.
CHECK-OUT
All Guests must check out of their campsites by 11am on their day of departure. All guests must camp in the site they are assigned.
Dogs:
Well-behaved dogs are allowed at the campground but must remain on a leash and not be left unattended. Dogs are not allowed on the mountain bike trails. Guest are required to clean up after their pet.
Amenities:
All campground guests have access to the Burke Hotel pool and hot tub. Key cards are required and can be obtained at the hotel front desk. ID will be required to obtain key. Please bring your own towel(s).
Scenic Toll Road:
opens saturday, MAY 25TH for vehicle and hiking access.

When toll road is closed it means no vehicles are permitted up or down and impacts all cross-country trails off the toll road including CCC road, Parrs Yard, Dead Moose Alley, Moose Alley, Camptown, Blacksmith and summit trails Rude Awakening, Freeride, and Upper J Bar.

Built by the Civilian Conservation Corps from 1933 to 1935, the historic toll road to the summit offers amazing views and access to hiking trails, paragliding launch sites and downhill mountain-biking trails. Stop mid-way at the pavilion for the perfect picnic site with the Willoughby Gap as your backdrop and be sure to climb the historic fire tower at the top for stunning 360° views of the surrounding mountain ranges. The toll road is subject to closures due to private events. Please call 802-626-7400 to confirm the toll road is open, especially if you are coming from a distance on the weekend.
