Vermont's Best-Kept Secret

(Don't tell anyone.)

Since the first ski trails were cut back in 1953, Burke has been a ski town. Busy in winter. Then the Kingdom Trails went in, and summers got loud, too. The ski town embraced its bike side, and by embrace, we mean a full-on bear hug that makes it hard to breathe. Today, Burke is a world-class mountain biking destination. Riders from around the globe roll through our woods and pastures or rip lift-assisted laps through the bike park from spring thaw 'til the leaves fall. We've had 70 years of welcoming people to our little corner of the NEK has taught us a thing or two. A warm hello and an ice-cold Vermont brew go a long way.

A LITTLE CORNER OF VERMONT THAT'S HARD TO FORGET

East Burke isn't just a place to ski or ride. Hike Mount Pisgah. Swim Lake Willoughby. Wander the back roads and find something you weren't looking for. The NEK has a way of pulling you in and not letting go. And when you're done, the Burke Mountain Hotel is right here, slopeside in winter, trailside in summer. The only thing left to do is book the room.
