The Dashney Nordic Center includes XX miles (XX km) of trails for nordic skiing and snowshoeing. Our trails are made up of forgotten Vermont country roads, rolling farmland and smaller forest lanes. If we do say so ourselves, it’s pretty picturesque.

We have trails groomed for classic and skate skiing through woods and over fields. Loops and terrain is varied and available for skiers of all levels. Check our snow report for updated grooming info.

We operate in partnership with our friends at the Northwoods Stewardship Center.

The Dashney Nordic Center on Mountain Road, about 1 mile on the left before the Burke Sherburne Base Lodge (where we ski/ride alpine).

Skiers and snowshoers should be aware of natural hazards and use caution when appropriate. Dogs are allowed, please follow the pet policy below. No fatbikes are allowed in the Dashney Center at this time. If you are looking to fatbike, check out our neighbors at Kingdom Trails.

Dashney Nordic Center is pet-friendly except for Sugarwoods and Shortcut. There are no pets allowed on Sugarwoods and Shortcut, but skiing and snowshoeing is permitted. Please be a responsible pet owner and encourage your pets to do their business off trail.

NorthWoods Stewardship Center is a non-profit conservation organization located 30 minutes Northeast of Burke Mountain Resort in East Charleston, Vermont. For 25 years, they have reached their mission to connect people and place, through science, education and action. Since the 2016/17 winter season, NorthWoods and Burke have teamed up, and the NorthWoods staff is excited to add their experience and passion for environmental education and conservation to the Burke offerings.
