THE SCENIC TOLL ROAD CLOSES SUNDAY, OCTOBER 19TH FOR THE SEASON

8AM - 8PM OR at dusk, whichever happens first.

Built by the Civilian Conservation Corps from 1933 to 1935, the historic toll road to the summit offers amazing views and access to hiking trails, paragliding launch sites and downhill mountain-biking trails. Stop mid-way at the pavilion for the perfect picnic site with the Willoughby Gap as your backdrop and be sure to climb the historic fire tower at the top for stunning 360° views of the surrounding mountain ranges. The toll road is subject to closures due to private events.

Please call (802) 626-7300 to confirm the toll road is open, especially if you are coming from a distance on the weekend. Schedule of closures, subject to change, is listed below.

  • Scenic all-day pass
    $20.00/per vehicle
  • Vehicle self-shuttling (with bikes) for summit trail riding.
    (free for 2025 Burke Bike Park passholder - must have pass)
    $10.00 per person per ride
